Eggy Breakfast Today! Carbonara Angel Hair with Soft Boiled Egg

Good evening folks!
Had your dinner already?

*Smile* That's my breakie this morning.
Sometimes I just throw everything I have in my fridge,
It feels like I'm a alchemist. Teeeheee:)

I dont have an exact recipe but here's what I did:
FIRST, Cook the pasta ( Don't ask me how, it's behind the packet)
Usually people go for spaghetti or fettuccine,
I only have angel hair, so yeah.
Things to make Carbonara Magic :
Cream, Egg Yolk, Onion, Garlic, Salt & Pepper, Lemon Juice, Sugar, Water.
1. Mix Egg Yolk and Cream, Cheese is optional. Leave aside.
2. First, slightly saute ( 爆香, tumis) the shallots and garlic.
 * Please smell the aroma, it will make you smile*
3. Then I poured in water do make a 'simple stock'. * Whatever you call it, the flavourful broth.*
4. Then I add in the cream mixture. Let it reduced ( Literally, means let the liquid sit on low fire, it will thicken eventually).
5. Now, depends how thick the sauce you want. I like watery once. :)
6. Time to act like an alchemist! Put in salt, pepper, lemon juice, sugar. What else? You name it.
7. Now, Magic happens when the angel hair meets the Carbonar Sauce. Taaadaaaa.
*I don't have much grocers in my house* I just put in whatever I have.
Trial and Error, add and taste, then add in something else and taste again.

Je Suis Desolee (I'm sorry in French) ,  if this annoys you,
I'm trained to be a professional chef back to those days, but this is how I work at home. :)

Smell Pastries and Coffee? It's Butter and Beans!

It was truly an amazing morning,
where exam is being postponed, class being cancelled and TGIF!

As a person who usually skip breakfast,
I was so driven to have one today. It's gonna be a good kick start anyway, right?
Here's the completely relaxing place. :) Credits to my sister-in-law!

Butter and Beans located in Section 17 :)

Cozy interior of Butter and Beans :)

They are not FAKE MODELS. Real Breads, BIG and TEMPTING!

Personally, I do think it's overpriced. As the portion isn't satisfactory.

By appearance, I do think they need to make it thicker, 10 bucks for thin pieces are not very reasonable.

Jasmain Raspberry Cake RM10/piece, sounds good!

Macchiato ( RM 6) The smiley latte art simply made my day! :)

Latte ( RM 9) I have no idea who is he. haha! But it's cute!

The Jasmine Raspberry Cake.
The taste is average as only the raspberry in the cake thrills your taste buds,
no jasmine flavour at all. The texture of the cake resembles floury and dry butter cake.
Depends on individual, I prefer moist cakes.

The crust of the quiche is not thick enough, only at the sides.
I forgot what they use for the crust, puff pastry maybe.
But I would suggest thicker crust on the base not the side using short crust pastry instead of puff pastry.
Well, it's all depends on costing and time factor .
But when I do it at home, I will definitely go for short crust. :)
The overall taste is good.
In fact, Quiche is one of the easiest common delicious food that uses simple ingredients.

The crumbly cake. The raspberry enlightened the cake!

Snow White For My Little Cutie!

Happy Birthday my beloved niece!
Seeing her grow, it's the best thing in my life.

I wonder how would I feel if it's my own children in the future.

Although we fight sometimes (yes, we do, even she's 3 and I'm 20)
And says " I don't want to friend you anymore" to each other,
but I still love her, and I do mean it.
She's grumpy, annoying sometimes,
but lovely and adorable most of the time.
Little princess, aunty loves you! :)

It's not my first time making gum paste modelling,
but I admit that it's all thumbs and fingers.
I'm trying very hard to improve, seriously. :)

Look at those adorable small feet and shoes! :)

To me it's so so so cute. (Praise the Lord, people can still recognize it's snow white! )
The little red hair band.

Saying Hello.

My sister wants me to do a pinata cake for Hannah,  to clear off all the sweets and candies in her fridge. Haha!

Happy Birthday Lovely!

Oh There! The Cake.

Cake from the place I used to work at, Donutes 多那之

Taa-Daaa!

Vanilla Cake Recipe from Humming Bird Bakery :
It's an cupcake recipe, and I doubled it up. :)

The In Prompt To Journey to Malacca

Years after years,
finally I'm back to my favourite childhood travel spot.
Malacca. :)

Went to the good-old Jonker Street,
Everything is still nice and serene.

This shop attract us by the oh-so-good smell, that paralyze our justification.
We walked to the place without second thoughts.

People, you gotta love this. I mean, Durian Lovers, you would love this!

These cute little puffs are sold RM 2 per piece. Petite but it is seriously delicious.

The rich durian filling is flooding, it melts your heart,
and the flavour will definitely lingers in your mouth,
hypnotising you to have another one. :)

The "Taste Better" branches can be found in Sunway Pyramid and SS 15.
The durian puffs sell in KL are slightly bigger in size,
but the taste isn't as good as the one that comes from the origin.
You should try their Durian Ice Cream too! It's very very nice!

RM 3 per cone, this is in Sunway Pyramid. :)

Freshly baked pineapple tart, pretty as it is. Taste that should not be forgotten.

There's a lot of chinese pastries shop along Jonker Street,
any of those who easily capture your attention,
simply by their fresh and tempting appearance.

Literally, it means " FRESH FROM OVEN"

The fade out walls and old stained equipment are truly beautiful.
They marks the age of Jonker Street.

Oh here's another thing not to be left out!

In the heart of the fiery hot weather, you need some coolants to sooth you!

This ice tea can be found anywhere in Jonker street,
the eye-cathing bottles that contain fruitful refreshing beverage. :)

It's time for Lunch!

Chicken Rice Ball is a must when you pay a visit to Malacca.
Simply it's just because of the experience, and the taste, of course.

'

The chicken did not look appetizing at all, however, the taste wins.
This means that, food presentation doesn't apply on food sometimes. :)

There's the usual crowd, but thank God we went on  an odd day.
There is still a que, but wasn't that LONG.

It's has been sometime wandering around the Jonker street.
Time to take seat and chill :)

This 'prestigious legendary' Klebang Coconut Shake was seriously a topic previously.
Personally, I'm not a crazy 'shaker', this coconut shake isn't an intriguing thing for me.
However, since everyone recommended it,
no harm trying right? :D

Yes, there's a big crowd in this place, especially for the take away stall,
LONG LONG QUE.

Well, I would conclude that, the coconut shake was truly divine.
Refreshing coconut shake quench the thirst,
finished with the rich, creamy and sweet vanilla ice cream.

Life is good with this treat under the red hot sun!

We head down to the Malacca City for a lazy walk.

My friend was asking : " Why is everyone eating the spiral potato thingy, it's so crispy, Ohemggee, where is it, it's so tempting!"

For those who came Malacca for several times, it isn't a big hoo ha.
In fact, it's just some simple fried food that looks fancy topped with different sauces or powders.

Omnomnomnom. Fried food never fail to make people fat and happy. :)

Malacca was truly a blessing from God.
Neither I born or grow in Malacca, but it has been a place that makes me feel like home every time I visit.

老街的情怀,总是让人回味无穷。
岁月的痕迹,却是最美丽的装横。
